Walking in the heat

Doing a reccie this morning for my Friday walking group. Try to start off by 9am but the temperature is nudging 30C by then! Thankfully we take plenty of water which we share with a four-legged friend who is doing the walk with us. It's a beautiful walk by a brook and a lake and then through a wood, with a welcome RSPB centre with cafe in the middle. Don't know why I didn't take my camera - there was a field of lovely pink poppies and I've not seen that before. Still, job done - now we can look forward to leading the walk with confidence in the autumn - the colour in the trees should be impressive by then.
