Today started at midnight on the tarmac at Edinburgh Airport, having landed to find the airport had been evacuated after a security scare. We sat till 2.00am, which made for a long journey on a plane from London that should have taken off at 8.00pm but was delayed till 10.30.
Having got to bed at 3.00, it was up to drive to Aberdeen for a friend's funeral. It was of course a sad occasion but a good service with a huge attendance.
It was a beautiful evening for the drive home. Bright sunshine in clear air after rain.
This farm near Howgate has often caught my attention, whether silhouetted against the sunrise or bathed in evening light. It was a nice relaxing scene at the end of a stressfull day.
