Lyme Regis

Had a great afternoon fossil hunting and just lounging on the beach at Charmouth today. We found a few pieces of ammonites once we knew what we were looking for (after chatting to a helpful chap who seemed to know what he was doing!). whilst we see rock all the time and it is millions of years old it is quite something to find and pick up a small piece of rock with a fossil in it.

The evening light in Lyme Regis was lovely and it was nice and warm too with the girls playing in the sand way past their bedtime!

Edit: Charmouth cliffs, part of the Jurassic Coast, can be seen in the back ground.
