Flannery's Feathers

We will be in Milledgeville, Ga this week for my daughter to attend tennis camp, so I will be roaming the surrounding area to find interesting blips!

Southern writer, Flannery O'Connor, lived in Milledgeville GA on a Dairy Farm named Andelusia. One of her hobbies was raising peafoul which was entertaining and soothing to her as her health degraded from Lupus. Today I visited her home, my favorite part was the magnificent male peacock who raised his beautiful display of feathers as we got aquainted.

"Whenever I?m asked why Southern writers particularly have a penchant for writing about freaks, I say it is because we are still able to recognize one."
? Flannery O'Connor
