THE NORWEGIAN PARLIAMENT

A warm, but grey day in Oslo today :-))

The parliament is from 1866 and designed by the Swedish architect Emil Victor Langlet (1824?98). The style of the building is a mix between Italian and Scandinavian traditions. During the years from 1951?59, major alterations were made. The construction work was planned and administered by the Norwegian architect
Nils Holter.

The politicians have summer vacation, so now the Parliament is open for tourists who want to take a look. However I saw a minister sneak inside to get something :-))

EDIT: I just noticed that the thumbnail for 1 year ago was my portrait of Pushwagner that became Blip of the Week :-))
