Two Thousand Photos

22:40(ish), North Bridge

It's been a beautiful day in the Scottish capital.

It was one of those rare days when you can sit outside and enjoy an iced coffee, sunglasses on, the warm rays on your neck pretending to be somewhere a little more 'continental'... today's street café du jour was Coffee Angel

John Lewis was really quiet, plenty of seats in the cinema (Bad Teacher is hilarious!), and no wait for a table at Pizza Express either.

Walking back home over North Bridge and the sky is still light. Not quite the midnight sun like at the Arctic Circle, but these long summer nights are refreshing...

That is, until out of nowhere, a group of teenagers come sprinting past, hell bent on kicking the cr@p out of someone. Dance off at the end of school disco gone too far perhaps...?

Back home, the neighbours are playing some banging music, with lyrics that you can't make out, but beats that you can feel. And slamming the doors, just for a change.

All that and it'll soon be the Festival too...
