Brown Bear - Ursus Arctos 2

Second night at Martinselkonen. Tonight we stayed at a 2 person hide by small pond at the bog.

Tonight we had to wait almost until 21.30PM before the bears came. It was raining, and there was some thunder roaring in the distance but the positive side was the temperature fell to more pleasing numbers. It was around +24C when we arrived to the hides, but it dropped to around +18C. During the night it was around +10C.
Not so many happenings by this hide but more interesting ones. We saw few bear mamas with the cubs, and then there were some great big ones also. When we were almost gone to bed as it was so silent (around 23.30PM) we saw one bear coming and sniffing the hides, looking around. And suddenly he dipped right into the water! He was looking so happy and enjoying his time in the cool water. He was doin some backstrokes and splashed the water. What a wonderful way to end this photoshooting experience!
After the swimmer the pond got very silent and we dozed off. Maybe I'll be back next year?
