In-between the seconds

Self-builds are not always a good idea.

In January we put in a new door, made to measure, double glazed wooden frame door. Perfect for an underground kitchen with one window. Hubby and a strong male friend up it in, as I was apparently useless.

All was well. For a day.
Since then nothing but trouble, it moves.

A twiddle here and there for it to lock, if it rains it doesn't close anymore.

We were due to leave, for Paris, and of course the door wouldn't lock. An hour a swearing (him not me) no other men around to help so he had to put up with little old girly me. We finally got it to close from in inside. So to leave Hubby had to climb out of the first floor door on to the ladder below. My blip was not appreciated.
