House Leek

Sempervivum - Always living.

The big advantage of having something that is always living is that it will hopefully still be alive next year when you want to blip it again. These annual blips are always interesting to look back on and see how you approached it end edited it. I always seem to go for macros, no surprises this year!

This year I used the bellows for magnification and then focus-stacked the images. I found the vintage lens lets me have much more travel on the focusing ring. So between the near parts and far parts being in focus I took 12 shots. With my standard lens I can only get 3 or 4.

Last year after blipping it I found my washing machine had sprung a leak too!
