White House Ruins

We camped in Canyon De Chelly at Spider Rock campground. The night was incredibly clear and starry. The Milky Way as clear as I have ever seen it. The sir was still and coo. Early in the morning we hiked down the train into the canyon and to White House ruins. This is the only hike you can take without a navajo guide. In the morning they are in the shadow of the high cliffs, but it is too hot to hike in the afternoon. I was happy to have my Powershot Eplph in my pocket. It's much easier that lugging a big camera back up the steep canyon trail, (which I have done many times before).
