Happy 4th July!

First of all, happy independence day to all our American blippers out there. Hope you had a good day. It is indeed fortunate that my prediction a few days ago didn't seem to occur, so Seamus for one was relieved!

I, on the other hand was quite looking forward to the excitement, safe in the knowledge that our house was indeed smack bang in the middle of communications masts, so we could hide away and the aliens would pass us by. Just to make sure, we kept ourselves hidden away in the house for most of it, only venturing out toward the end of the day just in cases!

I have in fact blipped this wasp catcher before, mostly annoyed at it's ineffectiveness. It seems however, that we had finally drawn a victim into it's death trap. Now of course, it spoils the aesthetics of the damn thing to have performed and become a tomb for what was in fact a fly, not a wasp - not a happy independence day for this wee fella.

No longer a shiny pristine bottle through which summer light can cast joy and happiness across even the dullest of days. No, now it's dirty. Soiled. So, I asked Gussy to clean it out.

He always likes to do these things his own way. He's always been independent.
