Under the boiler in HDR

EC20: a look under the boiler.
Yesterday I gave you a look from the boiler to the machinehall, this time a look at the aircompressors with in the back a part of the boiler.
This is a boiler that is hanging free in a steelconstruction, so it can expand freely when it is filled with water and being under pressure and at temperature. (between 120 and 180 bar and a steamtemperature of 540°C. (1004F).
At full load it expands about 30 centimeter.

The compressors are mainly used for instrument air (regulation and safety).
