Kuba Kuba

Kuba Kuba makes me think warm and gooey and homey and tasty. I took Lauren there to work on a school project. We ate fried plantains. I love Kuba Kuba because it is a neighborhood joint, even if I'm not exactly from the neighborhood. I love the murals and the mismatched chairs. I love how singles line up at the bar to eat their sandwiches and talk to everyone. It's how I imagine Cheers in a way. The Slip doesn't have that same feel. Everything is glossy and new.
