Something old, something new

This is the newly refurbished Marischal College building, which will be the home to the city council once they have finished the interior.
They have done a brilliant job in cleaning and restoring the place. This building, which is the second largest granite building in the world, was opened with great pomp and ceremony in 1903. There was even a parade through the city for it, which thousands attended.
Imagine that nowadays? For a new building? I don't think so.
I love the way that the 21st century door has been fitted into the old arch, with the coats of arms sparkling above.
The previous blipped, statue of King Robert the Bruce stands just to the left of these doors.
