Ringlet Butterfly

A female ringlet (Aphantopus hyperantus). This one looks as if it has been around for a while because it has lost a number of brown wing-scales making it appear a little lighter than a virgin specimen would be.

Lots of them around today but nothing else - too overcast. In fact a thunderstorm started about half an hour after I took this.
