Downtown Sounds

I went to the first of the free Downtown Sounds Summer Concerts tonight on Bay Street in Bellingham. On Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, Bay Street is closed to traffic and vendors set up food stands and a beer garden. A different band plays each week -- tonight it was the March Forth Marching Band from Portland, Oregon. They put on quite a show, including stilt-walkers, dancing girls, flag twirlers, and clown antics. The audience filled the street and everybody was in high spirits.
