Museum

This is Riensberg Manor (Haus Riensberg), build in the middle of the 18th century. It's part of an ensemble of buildings that forms the Focke Museum, Bremen's museum for local history and art. They also show contempory artists. At the moment, there is a show of pics by magnum- photographer Elliott Erwitt : Dogs and other people. Blippers should love this... ;-)

I've joined a pottery evening class held by the museums's conservator, Anke Otto, and we're copying prehistoric jars from the museum's collection.

The gate on my pic is called 'Frenchgate' ('Franzosentor') and was made by local smith Gerhardt Rabba in 1758. It's been freshly restored and I think it looks just lovely =D
