Stormy weather

The views change so quickly with the weather. This was taken this morning and one can see the rain clouds blowing in from the coast. The light brown fields in the middle were a beautiful blue a couple of months ago - linseed. The paler green field in front is wheat. The farm we visited a couple of days ago that had the goat is just visible in the middle behind the linseed.

Yesterday we visited the solicitor. The land swap should be going ahead today. It was also our anniversary so N and I and T and K went to a village pub a few miles away and had an excellent meal.

Today the builder who is refurbishing our cattle yards came and we paid him the deposit so now he must get on with it at least before the autumn as we have nowhere for the cattle to be housed. This afternoon N and I went down the hill to look at some kitchen tables - ours has nearly had it being made by N's brother at school about 50 years ago! T has been ferrying old building blocks to be broken up so we can use them as foundation in the new shed and in gateways where the mud accumulates.
