In the Bresse Bourguignonne area is a lot of agricultural land. In the agricultural production five cereals are most important:
- wheat
- maize (corn)
- oat
- rye
- sunflower seeds.

In St. Germain-du-Bois is an agricultural Eco museum. You can learn there a lot about farming techniques through the years and their development.

The machine you see here brought one of the most revolutionary changes in the way of corn picking and corn shelling. It's an American fabrication (1960), was imported in the same year. This American Newidea Corn-picker and Corn-sheller was until 1980 in operation in the Bresse area.
