Barratastic

A fantastic Hebridean day on the isle of Barra in 25 degree heat. Swimming in the sea with my boys, it was that hot & sunny.

Squeezed in a run to the summit of the highest hill, Heaval 381m which overlooks the main settlement, Castlebay.

Busy day with ferry crossings Eriskay to Barra and back again in the evening. Found a petrol station cum chip shop in Daliburgh, South Uist. Very clean and modern with a queue out the door. However it was worth the wait for dinner as my veggy wife had scampi & chips, the first time she has eaten fish in years!
