Friday Night Lockout

Always a delight to get home from work in the pouring rain on a Friday night to find that the lock on the front door has packed up.

In Oxford it appears that emergency locksmiths don't do Friday evenings. The first two companies we were put in touch with both accepted the job, then called back later to stay they couldn't do it. Finally a third company, from London, did turn up at about midnight (albeit initially without the tools he needed - left at the previous job).

Finally got into the house at about 01:00, only six and a half hours after I got home from work.

(And thank you to the girls next door for supplying us with coffee and company to keep us going through the wait).
