Les Beaux Velos

Upper St Giles in Norwich is a street with lots of galleries and small 'arty' businesses. As part of the Lord Mayors Celebration weekend the businesses in Upper St Giles invited people to take part in Les Beaux Velos where they could sell their artwork from their bicycles. Great idea, and my enterprising friends at Norwich Pride recognised this as a great opportunity to promote the event (30th July, for those of you who want to come along and join in the fun) and sell some of the merchandise - particularly the Norwich Pride mugs that now come in both the 'standard' and 'collectors' editions. The 'collectors' mugs are particularly beautiful, with designs done by local artists.

All that was needed was a bike with a decorated basket to serve as the 'stall'. As mine is already trimmed up, it was no contest really. I do wonder, though, whether I'm going to be asked to ride round Norwich the week before Pride bedecked not just with my flower garland but with flags and ribbons. I wouldn't be surprised .....
