The Chapel at Biscathorpe

My husband discovered this place many years ago when we used to live Lincolnshire.

Biscathorpe Chapel is tiny but has the grandeur of a cathedral.

It must have been built as an estate chapel, there is a large house fairly nearby and a now empty house very close but apart from that there is nothing. It sits in a copse surrounded by fields. There's a stream that runs through the fields and depending on which route you take there are two fords to cross.

In the graveyard is a wonderful tombstone that tells the tale of a young man in his twenties who is thrown from his horse and asks the reader to consider, 'I had 24 hours in which to confess my sins, will you have the same?'
