Back and Forth thru time

Evening all,

Well, the great cataloging of the cd/vinyl section of the library of Alexandra is finally over, and for the next two to three weeks all that will be heard will be

"Put it back where you got it from!"

It won't last though. it never does!

Back to the Sculpture park today, i've been quite a bit recently and hopefully if i ever catch up with my back blips you'll see what i mean.

I have a love/hate relationship with large installations pieces outdoors, they either have to sit in the environment comfortably or unobtrusively or look so hugely out of place that you can't help shake your head and smile.

Its the slightly odd or just plain silly that annoy me,as i can't see the point of them, i spent ages staring at a stepladder in the trees today, admiring its shape and form, before a workman came and folded it up and walked away with it!!!!

No such problem with this young lady, shes a stunning piece of art in every sense of the word, a huge piece of sculpture which sits majestically if somewhat disconcertingly near the entrance.

No idea what the piece is called, nor the name of the artist...it doesn't really matter to me, i don't need to know , i just know i like it..

couldn't get on blip last night so am a bit behind with comments but will catch up tonight.

night all

PS have left the people in the shot to give you a bit of perspective a la Ted and Dougal...

"these are small, those are far away..."
