Fleeing Crab

A couple of pretty silty dives today. The first one wasn?t especially interesting, but there was plenty to see on the second. This picture is of an edible crab that is fleeing my torch light ? who can blame him, being called ?edible? must lead to a bit of paranoia! He was half-buried in the silt which is stuck to his legs and shell, and comes off gradually as he dashes away, looking for all the world like trail of smoke.

The diving may not have been especially memorable, but it was a glorious day to be out on a little boat. I am a tiny bit pink this evening from my exposure to the unfamiliar yellow orb...
