if you were an animal, what would you be?

The last time we went to the environment center it was the dead of winter and the water was frozen over. Needless to say, our trip that we took there today was much more pleasant and scenic. We took a nice, long mosquito filled swamp-walk and just basked in each other's relaxing presence. July is fast becoming my favorite month of the year.

Because we saw so many flocks of ducks, one of the questions for the day was "if you were an animal, which would you be?" Stephen, although I think he would make a great meerkat, couldn't decide between a flamingo and a toucan. One major con for being a flamingo would be the constant, serious risk of being eaten by a crocodile. So, a toucan it is.

As for me, I'd definitely have to be some member of the big cat family. Hands (or paws) down.

But for today, we were like two swimming ducks, quacking away to each other as we wagged our little tails in contentment.
