Great evening at the Birmingham Diamond League with my four year old. This is Kate Dennison, former UK pole Vault record holder. She has set 11 records in her time, her last being eclipsed by Holly Bleasdale a couple of weeks ago.

Carys was fascinated by the pole vault, especially as last time one of the poles snapped and she was waiting for that to happen again. I was hoping for more photos but the rain arrived and most of the girls ran through their attempts once the rain came down.

Hoping this tenously meets this weeks challenge of Red, White and Blue in two ways, she normally where the red, whit and blue vest of GB, secondly she is wearing red, her knuckles were white and the bed (although out of shot) was blue.
