Buckley Hughes World

What's the story?

So, today we drove to the most westerly point of mainland Britain - the end of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. More lovely lovely views, great wildlife, drizzle... had a paddle in the sea at Sanna (brrr) and took a very quick photo of the lighthouse at the end (built by RL Stephenson's dad, don't you know). Then we got on the ferry to Tobermory.

I was hoping for a view from the ferry of the multi-coloured houses in the sunshine, but heck, this is Scotland, right? Does the sun ever shine? However, we still really liked the town.

And then we drove south-west on Mull, heading for the sunshine, past the Macquarie Mausoleum (operated by the Australian National Trust) and on to Fionnphort. Parked up with Brrenda's nose overlooking the sea, yet again, and here the sun was shining. The sunset was beautiful.

Happy here.
