Towering

A day of meetings in Glasgow. A few moments to spare before an appointment at the Digital Design Studio allowed me a short walk round the Science Centre, whose infamous tower is an elegant and powerful piece of design by Richard Horden Associates. It is Scotland's tallest building and it can rotate into the prevailing wind, which is what permits it to have such a slender structure.

The tower's infamy stems from the fact that it seems to constantly break down, and today it was again "closed for extended maintenance". I am hoping that one day I shall be able to climb it and enjoy its allegedly wonderful views.
