Worth all the effort!

We nearly didn't bother with the Veg garden this year, we are now happy we did!

The early potatoes have been lovely - probably half a dozen plants left, some of the beetroot has already been made into chutney and been used in other dishes. There's a pile of rhubarb waiting in the fridge to be turned into jam. Lettuce and rocket is used regularly. The onions, carrots, parsnips and leeks are doing well and also round the edges we have an abundance of sunflowers, cosmos, larkspur, dahlias, cornflowers and holly hocks.

It's a grand place to be! About 137 times better than watching TV.
