The informant

Bradford's Ivegate has a (not undeserved) reputation for being a hot bed of criminal activity & what was 'The rams revenge' (but now a booky's - how many does Bradford need) at the top is reputedly haunted!

Here's one such anecdote which was reported in the Telegraph & Argus (Bradford's local rag) & taken from Ghost mysteries web site

My great grandad (Jack Robison) worked in this bar called "the rams revenge"in bradford in the 1960's, however in the 1980 at least 12 years after his death, he was reported to have served a young couple. They had entered the pub and sat down at the bar. A large man with dark, center parted hair wearing an old fashioned barman's apron came over to them and served them there drinks. later the couple asked the landlord who their new barman was to which he replied that he had no new barstaff. he asked the couple to describe the man. he then produced some old photographs that he had found in the bar and the couple pointed out my great grandad as the person who had served them.

I love a good ghost story!

Ivegate also has some great charity shops where I get a lot of books.

Today's blip is entitled 'The informant' and was taken in an alley at the bottom of Ivegate. I played around with it in a new iphone app Phototoaster & added grunge filters with Grungetastic app.
