Shadow and reflection

Kent estuary, Cumbria

Let the icon bar vanish to see to best effect.

Three swans were back on the estuary at Sandside this morning, all females, and I'm guessing they are young birds that haven't bred this year. They were dipping in the shallows for algae, and there seemed to be no point when all three birds had their heads up at the same time. I struggled to pick which one to blip, but decided on this as it has both shadow and reflection. As so often, the water at this time in the morning was still and good for reflections, and shortly after I took this the breeze picked up and ruffled the water.

Three days back at work and I'm feeling really tired again. The benefits of holidays wear off all too quickly. Or maybe it's just age and decrepitude.

Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's bit of a splash.
