Night Delivery--New York

After dinner out I wandered around our West Side neighborhood in search of a blip--with quite rich pickings. (We drove down from Northampton in the morning.)

But as I was heading back toward our apartment on West 97th Street this huge truck (lorry for the Brits, I should think) took at least ten minutes to work its way into a narrow bay at Whole Foods-- a fairly upscale, eco-minded supermarket where we do much of our grocery shopping. The street is not unusually wide in this block, making this a very difficult maneuver--I've always admired truckers of this ilk; their job is always challenging. (This is fun to view large).

Trash is piled at the left, probably for pickup tonight.
