today was our last day in Denver; it sure went by fast, but as always we managed to do quite a bit, so i am tired and we have a long drive day ahead of us tomorrow.

B's mom has quite the green thumb and her wonderful garden has attracted a big butterfly. All trip we've seen him flutter through the flowers and we wanted to snap a photo and today he paused for a bit on the planted pots and I was standing right there with camera in hand. perfect timing.

random factoid: butterflies are represented as ZW chromosomes & the females are the heterogametic sex (ZW), while the males homogametic (ZZ).
