Tree Bell bakery Ltd.

The Bell girls came over for a spot of baking this afternoon and what a delicious batch of biscuits they made too. Bella is getting a dab hand with the cutter.

Almond Biscuits

125 g butter
125 g caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp almond essence
125 g plain flour
125 g ground almonds

- Cream butter and sugar together
- Add beaten egg and almond essence
- Mix in flour and ground almonds
- Knead until firm
- Refrigerate for 15 min
- roll out to approx. .5cm thick and cut out with cutter or roll into marble sized balls and flatten
- Bake in oven pre-heated to 180º for 10-15 min and golden brown.
