Popular art!

Edinburgh has become the canvas for a new public art project.
Giant photographic portraits have been pasted to the walls of the McEwan Hall and throughout closes along the Royal Mile.

Produced by Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and Edinburgh University students, the striking black and white images are simulated to resemble CCTV footage.

Edinburgh is one of the most surveyed cities in the UK, with 1 camera to every 14 people. Edinburgh University alone has over 200 cameras stationed throughout its buildings and grounds.

(For those who don't know the city, the McEwan Hall is the graduation hall for the University of Edinburgh. I appeared there twice, and although the daughters collected a raft of those parchments, only #2 went to my alma mater, and so I could reprise when she got her BMus.)

The books! The National Registers will come on Monday and relieve us of the lot so they can work their special magic on them!
