Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Water Angel

Yesterday late afternoon we relieved our daughter and her family of little Tristan, our great-grandson, for awhile. He has been with them since Tuesday morning. When we arrived home with him we knew that we would probably play in the pool. At first he wanted to watch the Snow White DVD. So midway through the watching he announced he wanted to swim. We were glad to make a change; it was a lovely evening to be outdoors. So we turned off the DVD.

Grandpa Fun went out to turn the heat on in the spa and then we all made a quick change into swimsuits. The remainder of the evening was spent swimming, splashing, and soaking.

When I viewed this photo I understood why the little floaties have been called "water wings." Tristan looks like a "water angel" in this shot. I realize from a photographer's point of view it is a crummy shot. Years from now, though, this will be our reminder that Tristan was here and we'll be able to kid him that the whales stayed a long distance from this energetic little boy! ;-)

Now that Tristan is back with us, life the next few days will be full and over-flowing. His mommy arrives here in one week. Now that I am through working at the campus Writing Center, we think we'll be headed to San Diego the beginning of the week to see the world famous zoo and possibly some other sights.

Good night from Southern California.
