Full Moon

Friday 15th July 2011 ... a normal day ... a working day ... It's a day with many meanings. In Glasgow it's Fair Friday ... a local trades holiday which dates back to the 12th century. During the 20th century it was when heavy industry shut up shop and the whole family went 'doon the watter' for 2 weeks. Exotic places such as Rothesay, Dunoon. In later years, Blackpool became part of the G postcode area for those 14 days. Sandcastles, fish suppers and the end of pier entertainment.

In the UK, 15th July celebrates the traditionSt Swithin's Day ... if it rains today ... it will rain a further 40 days ... joy of joys ... it rained ...

Worldwide 15th July was the end of an entralling 10 year journey watching the adventures of Harry Potter unfold on the big silver screen ... the eith in the trilogy ... I was lucky enough to get a ticket.

Friday 15th 2011 was also a special day for me ... As the sun shone ... I bagged my 100th blip:)

Backblipping comes in very handy because there are never enough hours in the day. I've used my digi camera more in 100 days than in the 4 years I've owned it. My own favourite blip? Has to be my Topsy Turvy pic (5th May) ... the blips I see from others are genuinly amazing and inspiring
... a bit like the moon in the sky!
