Looks Good To Me

Cloud Mountain Farm

Our friends Tom and Cheryl, owners of Cloud Mountain Farm, had a party to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary and the sale of the farm and business to a new nonprofit entity called Cloud Mountain Farm Center. They'll continue to live on the farm and will oversee and direct the operations and programming of the new organization.

The new nonprofit will focus its farming operations on working with new farmer education and with existing market farmers, building market and processing infrastructure, as well as doing some crop development.

We left home under grey skies, which changed to blue en route to the farm, but a light rain fell later in the evening. Fortunately there was a marquee for the guests and a shelter for the band. The rain didn't seem to deter the dancers.

Tom and Cheryl provided enough barbecued salmon to feed a small army and plenty of beer from Boundary Bay Brewery, and guests brought a wonderful variety of potluck offerings that were hard to resist.

It was a great party. I posted a few photos here.
