St Andrews Cathedral

Well the weather forecast was for rain BUT they got it wrong as the sun shone brightly today.

I lovely wee trip to St Andrews with my daughter and mum for a wander and ice cream.

Todays Blip is St Andrews Cathedral. Now in ruins, it was originally constructed in the 12th century and occupied a site used for worship since the 8th century AD, when the relics of Saint Andrew (Scotland?s patron saint) were said to have been brought here.

The tourists were out in force today - but who could blame them, it is such a beautiful town.
