Castle Fraser

Through in Kintore this weekend to see Tracy, and we went for a walk out at Castle Fraser. The National Trust certainly know how to charge... £2 for parking, £9 each to get into the Castle, 50p for an A4 map of the grounds and £3.50 for guide book. Not much change out of £25, and that's without anything to eat or drink. I'm told the restaurant is good, but it was closed for lunches by the time we got there. We paid for parking and settled for a free walk round the grounds instead, opting not to donate towards the upkeep of the gardens which weren't very colourful.
