What a fabulous weekend

I have spent the last two days at RIAT at RAF Fairford, Gloucstershire, working in the 'Vulcan Village'. Leaving home at 0600, getting home at 2100, I've been hot and sweaty, wet and freezing cold, worked like hell and had the most fantastic time voluntarily working for the team that keeps the Vulcan XH558 flying.

She (XH558) is always in desperate need of fund to keep her flying, if anyone feels that this is a worthy cause, encouraging youngsters to look at engineering as a future, preserving the English heritage of the RAF from the Cold War days, totally thrilling many hundreds of thousands of people up and down the country at air shows, then you can do your bit by donating (or setting up a standing order) at the VULCAN TO THE SKYVULCAN TO THE SKY website.

The Photograph shows the Lancaster bomber from the BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight).
