In my library

There is a grandfather clock. It shaves the seconds silently, no loud ticks or tocks. It does not chime the hours but stands silently for this is a library and the clock remembers a time when silence was revered, times have changed but the clock remains the same - a silent guardian watching the progression of students and wishing that they would whisper!
