George Street Pedestrian Overpass

Around Hornsby this walkway is considered a bit of joke. Are you laughing? why not! If I gave you the stat's on how many people walk over this per day 24/7/365, you'd be amazed. Other amazing facts is how old it is, how ugly it is, how un-repaired it is, how dangerous it is. I've heard stories about certain companies who refuse to repair it because they want nothing to do with it.

Anyway its a really long and boring story. In a nut shell one layer of government was responsible for building (federal) and maintaining it (State) and then they handed it over to another layer of government (local) along with the "this is a public safety problem report" and said you fix it! Of course the local council has no money to maintain or replace it.
