Looking Up.

Plenty of blue skies lately, and no rain. Most of my plants died recently due to lack of water - partly my fault, since I was used to lots of rain last month and did not need to get in the habit of watering them. My radishes were not growing right, anyway. The tops came out beautifully, but there were no bulbs. Turns out they grow better in cooler weather and I had started them too late this summer. My tomatoes are slow (but alive and growing); I think I started them too late too. A shame, but at least I've learned. It's only my first summer trying to grow my own food. And there's always the farmer's market.
