I hiked in Shenandoah National Park today. I saw 2 bears and a huge rattlesnake. The bears looked young and made a hasty retreat, so I only got a couple of butt shots. The rattlesnake took its time moving off the trail. I was shocked at the rattlers size. I have spent a lot of time in the woods and hiking and it is the first time I've run across bears or a rattler in the wild.
