As I set myself the task of having sky in every blip, if I haven't taken a suitable photo by the time it gets dark, my options begin to run out quickly.

One last chance. I made sure I had my camera in my pocket when I went down to the bins with the non-recyclable domestic waste. Under the dripping tree, I was seized by the thought that the sun would never rise again, and I imagined a Scotland where the only light would come from street lamps.
