This is my Blip Life

By Kathy

Out and a boat.................

Whilst on a trip to the garden centre, we carried on a few miles further, and ended up at the Anderton Boat Lift. It is situated in the Cheshire village of Anderton, and was built in 1875.It provides a vertical link between the River Weaver and the Trent & Mersey Canal. This is only one of two working boat lifts in the UK. The other is the Falkirk Wheel , in Scotland. We were lucky to see it in action today both going up and down.

Back to work tomorrow ..................
