Sgwarnog: In the Field

Graduation

It's a busy few days on the University of Bradford campus, as people's hard work and accomplishment is recognised in a series of graduation ceremonies.

This scene captures some of the atmosphere: gowned up students, families sitting around, lots of photos being taken, the university flag flying from our flagship building.

When I worked at Sunderland Uni I played a more active role in the ceremonies, starting off as 'catcher' (the one that stands at the bottom of the steps as students descend from their handshake) before being promoted to the responsible position of 'prompter' - standing with a list of names to make sure the right students went up on stage in the right order at the right time. That's probably the most responsibility I've ever been trusted with.
