Winter trees - late afternoon sun

Trees still very bare, cold day, but lovely and sunny, long shadows, and when the sun drops below the horizon the temperature drops immediately.

Hagley Park in the heart of Christchurch, largely undamaged, although a tree that was a favourite of mine as it was beautiful over the water in autumn has been cut down.

Long day - 5 hour visit from EQC looking at the damage to our house - this is the sixth visit, 3 from insurance and three from EQC, but this was the most thorough so far. Rather demoralizing, as there is damage in every room, and the house has tipped on one corner and will have to be straightened. of course there is no indication of when our final inspections will be done (we have at least two more long sessions), and then we have to wait for the two agencies to agree on what needs doing and how much they will pay out, and then wait again until the repairs start. A very long process.

So you can see why a walk in the park was required!!
